Who We are

DIN presently has 30 staff spread across 10 villages in northern Cross River State, as well as Calabar - the state capital.  Our Head Office in Obudu, acts as a central location between current project sites. To see where we work please click here.

Project activities are directed by Project Co-ordinators and are assisted by a Community Liaison Officers and Assistants.  Community Liaison Officers and Assistants work directly with community groups, often live in the village where they work and are indigenous to the village or project area.  The Adult Literacy Instructors live in the villages where classes are conducted.

The Research, Documentation and Policy Unit is based in Calabar - the capital of Cross River State, approximately 400km south of Obudu. It is primarily responsible for the collection and analysis of social-economic and environmental data to enable DIN to accurately focus it's work and contribute to policy debate in Cross River state. The RDPU is also responsible for evaluating project effectiveness and organisational learning.
